Travel time and scheduling conflicts can often make it difficult to attend a live seminar. For those unable to participate in person, we offer our current Risk Management seminar in a convenient eLearning option (online reader booklet with audio).
The current seminar, The High Cost of Shortcuts, is available through live seminars and as an eLearning option.
Shortcuts have their place, but not in dentistry. Incomplete documentation, the omission of necessary procedures and failure to fully inform patients are why even the best dentist will likely experience a lawsuit in the course of a career. This seminar uses real case studies to illustrate why effective patient communication and continuity of care are imperative in delivering excellent dentistry.
After completion, you will understand how to:
- Create a proactive approach when multiple dentists treat one patient
- Establish office procedures when patients complain of pain
- Develop strategies to educate patients on treatment recommendations
- Deploy effective protocols for medical emergencies
By completing this seminar, you can earn:
- Policy discount*— two-year, 5% Professional Liability premium discount
- C.E. and Completion Hours—3.0 C.E., and 3.0 AGD and 3.0 ADA CERP hours
Registration for 7-1-13 renewal states (CA, NV, AZ) to accept “The High Cost of Shortcuts” for a Professional Liability premium discount will close at noon on April 25, 2013. All registrations submitted after this time will apply to the 7-1-14 renewal. Dentists who take that seminar must submit a passing score by midnight April 25, 2013 to receive the 5% discount on the Professional Liability premium.
